Dead or Stuck Pixels
Black, white, or colored dots that will not change. Out of Apple warranty these are not covered, so a panel swap is the only fix.
Our A2179 Screen Repair Process
Every A2179 screen repair follows the same careful bench workflow. Same-day diagnosis is standard, and most complete repairs are finished within 2 to 3 business days, backed by our 1-year warranty.
- Free diagnosis. We check whether the damage is isolated to the LCD or whether the display housing, hinge, or backlight layer are also affected. Dented housings usually force a full assembly swap.
- Quote in 24 hours. LCD-only is our first choice because it is significantly cheaper. If the assembly is bent or the backlight layer is damaged we will quote a full assembly instead.
- Disassemble the display. We remove the A2179 display from the top case, place the assembly on a heat plate to soften the adhesive, and separate the glass bezel without cracking the backlight sheets below.
- Swap the LCD. OEM-grade A2179 panel bonded in with fresh adhesive. We verify the new panel is dust-free before sealing it down.
- Reassemble and test. Confirm color uniformity, backlight evenness, and FaceTime camera function. Final sanity check before pickup.
