Do I need an appointment for my repair?
No, for most repairs you don't need an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome at our shop at 4329 Main Street in Manayunk. If you have an urgent issue, give us a call at (215) 914-5775 so we can prioritize your repair.
How long does it take to repair my device?
Different devices require varying timeframes. Phones typically receive same-day service, while computers and tablets may need several business days. We offer expedited options for emergencies. Most iPhone screen repairs are completed in 30-60 minutes.
Should I backup my device before I bring it in for service?
Backing up beforehand isn't mandatory. Our staff can assist with backups in-store, though attempting to back up damaged devices might cause additional harm. We handle this professionally and will advise you on the best approach for your specific situation.
I had my device repaired and I think something is wrong. What do I do?
Return the device to our shop at 4329 Main Street in Manayunk without calling ahead or scheduling. Our staff will help resolve issues even if it's not covered under our warranty. We stand behind our work and want every customer to leave satisfied.

Warranty & Parts

What does your standard repair warranty cover?
Our standard warranty covers functionality only. It strictly excludes any damages however minor they may be (cracks, spots, chips, scratches, liquid, fire, nightstand, ghosts, and alien abductions). All repairs come with a 1-year warranty. Battery replacements carry a 90-day limited warranty. If something goes wrong within the warranty period, bring it back and we'll make it right at no additional cost.
What type of parts do you use for your repairs?
MackTechs uses Premium New Replacements or Premium Refurbished parts exclusively, not aftermarket alternatives. This approach matches manufacturer-level quality rather than using low-cost components that risk device damage. Our parts are rigorously tested before installation.
Does the warranty cover accidental damage after repair?
No. The warranty covers defects in parts and workmanship only. If you drop your device after a repair and the screen cracks again, that would be a new repair. However, if the repaired part fails on its own within the warranty period, we'll fix it at no charge.

No. Every repair starts with a free diagnosis. We'll tell you exactly what's wrong with your device and how much it costs to fix before doing any work. No surprises, no hidden fees.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, Venmo, PayPal, and Apple Pay. For trade-ins, we also offer store credit.

Can I mail in my device for repair?
Absolutely. We offer a convenient mail-in repair service for customers outside the Philadelphia area. Submit your repair request at fix.macktechs.com, ship your device to us, and we'll repair it and ship it back.
